I really enjoy computers – most of the time. I have been using computers, the Internet and sending emails since 1988. I have never had a virus infection, spyware problem, lost data, or more than 8 error messages in a single year. I am college educated and have multiple computer certifications. However, most of what I know (that really matters)  I taught myself. There is no real substitute for experience.

My goal with this blog is to help the non-geeks learn, build confidence and be able to help themselves instead of relying on a family member or friend who really may not be interested in helping you or spending your hard-earned money to have a computer tech come to your house. Each and every one of you are smarter than your computer. The computer is really a dumb box and does not know what to do until you tell it.

The ultimate goal is happy and less stressful computing. We plan to meet those goals by sharing things with you so you can take PROACTIVE steps in minimizing PC problems.
